Dr. Thoreson strives to provide a thorough evaluation with practical recommendations.
Testing typically occurs over the course of 2 - 4 sessions and may involve the following procedures:
- An interview to gather information regarding the history of the current difficulties or concerns
- Classroom observations
- Self-report questionnaires may be filled out
- Objective tests may be administered by a psychologist (e.g., IQ testing)
- Tests may also be administered that focus more on the subjective experience of a person
- A feedback session often occurs during which the psychologist explains the findings and professional recommendations, as well as, answer the client’s questions
- If requested, feedback sessions may include other relevant professional (e.g., teachers)
